Earlier, as per the FCRA Amendment Act, 2020 the FCRA Act has prescribed for applying for renewal of FCRA registration ‘within’ 6 months of expiry of registration. Therefore, all the organisations where FCRA certificate expires on 31.10.2021 , needed to apply for renewal after 01.05.2021.
However, there has been a recent notification dated 12.01.2021 stating that the FCRA renewal needs to be applied ‘before’ six months of expiry of registration. In other words, the organisations where the FCRA registrations get expired on 31.10.2021, would have to apply for FCRA Renewal in Form FC-3C on or before 30th April, 2021.
